The material

Superior quality and aesthetic appeal

Our marble immediately distinguishes itself as a superior grade compared to the typical grey marble from the Khenifra province. It showcases an enhanced durability, with nearly invisible carbon veins, and is characterized by its subtle and finely patterned white veining. Additionally, it boasts an exceptional ability to retain a polished finish during the slab processing phase.

Expert craftsmanship and attention to detail

Beyond its numerous material qualities, there's a profound dedication from our staff in the meticulous cutting process. We carefully follow the natural vein of the mountain during extraction to ensure the best possible outcome in both the marble's appearance and its reliability. This methodical approach guarantees that each slab not only meets but exceeds aesthetic expectations and provides the dependability our clients rely on.

At Ala Marbre SARL, our commitment to excellence is evident in the natural beauty and unmatched quality of our marble. We pride ourselves on delivering a product that is not just a material, but a masterpiece of nature refined by human craftsmanship.

Diverse applications of our marble

Marble slabs and their finishes

Our marble is expertly crafted into polished, brushed, and honed slabs, available in thicknesses of 2 or 3 cm. These versatile slabs can be used across various applications:

  • Interior tiles and surfaces: Ideal for creating elegant interior tiles, kitchen countertops, and bathroom vanities.
  • Shower bases and thresholds: Perfect for detailed shower bases and artistically raised thresholds.
  • Decorative interior coverings: Suitable for enhancing interiors such as fireplace surrounds.
  • Exterior tiles: Rough tiles for outdoor settings, akin to cobblestone finishes.

Specific finishes and their characteristics

  • Polished slabs: Polishing gives the marble a darker, nearly black appearance due to its excellent gloss retention. Polished slabs are the most reflective, enhancing their brilliance. However, they require periodic maintenance with specific waxes and products to preserve their lustrous properties over time.
  • Brushed slabs: Offering a more subdued sheen, brushed slabs highlight the natural color of the stone and provide a textured feel that is slightly more porous. This finish removes the softer part of the material, making it more suitable for external use or flooring.
  • Honed slabs: Aimed at achieving a smooth and flawless surface, honing gives the marble a satin appearance with minimal reflection. This finish ensures the slab is free from scratches and imperfections.

Care and maintenance

All marble finishes are sensitive to acidic or corrosive substances and require careful cleaning. Immediate action is necessary in case of accidental spills of such substances to prevent staining or etching.

At Ala Marbre SARL, our marble's versatility in applications and finishes allows architects and designers to achieve both aesthetic and functional excellence in their projects. Whether crafting a refined interior space or enhancing an exterior landscape, our marble meets the demands of both beauty and durability.

Extraction process

Initial drilling

The extraction of our marble begins with skilled onsite personnel performing meticulously planned drilling. Using air drills, holes are created both vertically and horizontally along the marble bench. This precision drilling is crucial for preparing the marble for subsequent cutting.

Cutting the marble

Once drilling is complete, diamond wire cutting machines are deployed to make precise horizontal and vertical cuts on the marble bench. This technology allows for the accurate shaping and sizing of the marble, preparing it for the next stages of extraction.

Overturning the bench

After cutting, the marble bench needs to be overturned a delicate process that relies on the use of air and water cushions, powerful hydraulic jacks, or the assistance of excavators. This step is vital for positioning the marble for easier access and further processing.

Portioning and moving

Once the bench is successfully overturned and lying flat on the ground, the wire machines are moved to begin portioning the marble into more manageable pieces. This segmentation allows for easier movement and transportation, facilitated by excavators and rubber-tired loaders.

Forming marble blocks

The final step in our quarry process involves the formation of marble blocks. Our experienced team examines the quality of the extracted marble to maximize yield from each bench. The diamond wire cutters are then strategically placed to carve out blocks, giving them the classic squared shape that is typical in marble processing.

Quality control before final shaping

Before these blocks are finalized, they undergo a thorough inspection to exclude any sections with minor fractures. This quality control ensures that each marble block not only looks its best but also possesses enhanced durability.

At Ala Marbre SARL, we are committed to an extraction process that emphasizes precision, safety, and efficiency. Our skilled personnel and advanced equipment ensure the highest quality marble, prepared and processed with the utmost care to meet global standards.
